Rabbi Jeff Fox is in the forefront of expanding the horizons of Orthodoxy, especially empowering Orthodox women. Rabbi Fox has also been one of the first Orthodox rabbis to respond to the halachic concerns of Orthodox men and women transitioning genders.
We begin Yom Kippur this year on Friday, September 29 at 5 p.m. with a dinner at Rockwood Manor followed by inspirational Kol Nidre Services at 6:30 p.m. On Yom Kippur morning at 10 a.m. we continue with morning services. Our afternoon is open to all to join us with , yoga, meditation, chant, and discussion. The closing Neilah service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Final shofar is at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Looking for something extra special this year? Join us on Yom Kippur. We'll be at the beautiful Rockwood Manor on MacArthur Blvd in Potomac, Maryland. Yom Kippur Services are on Wednesday October 12 starting at 10 a.m. for ticket holders and seasons pass members. We are open to the public from noon to 7 p.m. At 2 p.m. we offer Yoga with Shannon Sharma of One Aum Yoga in Potomac or a Mindful Walk in the Woods. Then, at 3:15 p.m. Mindful Meditation class with Dr. Arnold Raizon, at 4:15 p.m. a discussion of Jonah, the reluctant and depressed superhero.
